American soprano Blair Lipham is quickly establishing herself as a compelling presence on the operatic stage. In 2025, she made her international debut in Italy with Fondazione Pergolesi Spontini, appearing in Giovanni Paisiello’s rarely performed opera Le Gare Generose.
This past season, Lipham joined The Atlanta Opera as the comprimario role of Prima Ancella in a brand-new centennial production of Turandot. She also made both her role and company debut with Capitol City Opera as Musetta in La Bohème.
Her artistry has also been recognized at the Metropolitan Opera’s Laffont Competition, where she received an Encouragement Award in the Georgia District.
In 2026 she originated the role of Eliana in The Sickness, a new opera commissioned by The Atlanta Opera's 96 Hour Opera Competition, which will debut in its entirety in 2028. Other recent operatic roles include Micaëla in Carmen, Nedda in Pagliacci, and Rosalinde in Die Fledermaus with the Georgia State Opera Theatre.
A dedicated interpreter of sacred and concert repertoire, Lipham has appeared as the soprano soloist in Mozart’s Requiem and Mendelssohn’s Elijah. Her concert work also includes covering the soprano soloist in Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with the Georgia Philharmonic.
In addition to her solo work, she has spent the past three seasons singing in all the main stage productions at The Atlanta Opera in the chorus.
Lipham holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Music from Vanderbilt University.
